❓Do I need to be good on camera?

Nope — you just need to show up. We’re not aiming for perfection; we’re building presence. Whether you're joining us in person or online, you'll get coaching, prompts, and a supportive vibe squad to help you feel comfortable. Nervous is normal — and we’ve got you.

❓Will I leave with edited content?

In-Person: You’ll capture tons of usable footage with our guidance across multiple studio sets. Optional editing upgrades are available, but the main focus is on helping you learn how to capture the kind of content you can keep creating.
Virtual: You’ll film on your own (with our real-time support) and then edit it with us live during the afternoon Zoom session. You'll leave with at least one finished piece of content and the knowledge to edit more.

❓What’s included in the Virtual version?

A full-day experience including a live Zoom strategy session, a guided editing workshop, our signature Pose + B-Roll Guide, and personalized support while you film on-location or at home. It’s designed to teach you repeatable content creation skills — wherever you are.

❓Is the Video Business Card included?

No. That offering is exclusive to specific in-person studio days. The core B-Roll Studio (in-person or virtual) is focused on building your skillset and confidence through guided filming — not on delivering a final, professionally edited brand video. (Though we do offer that as an add-on or separate service.)

❓How do I know what to say on camera?

We’ll guide you through our VOICE Framework (Vision, Outcome, Insight, Credibility, Engagement). Both in-person and virtual attendees will receive prep prompts and a simple structure to help shape your message. We’ll help you make it feel natural — not rehearsed.

❓What should I bring (or prep)?

In-Person Attendees:

• Your go-to outfit(s) + backup accessories

• Props you use in your business (notebooks, product, laptop, etc.)

• Your phone, fully charged, with our recommended apps installed

• We’ll send a full prep checklist so you’re not guessing

Virtual Attendees:

• A phone or camera with the ability to record video

• A location with natural light or space to film

• Recommended editing apps installed

• Access to Wi-Fi for Zoom + file transfers

• We’ll provide a prep guide, too!

❓Is hair, makeup, or wardrobe styling included?

Not included — but available for in-person sessions by appointment. We can connect you with trusted pros if you'd like to add styling to your shoot. Virtual attendees can follow our prep checklist for simple styling tips to feel confident on screen.

❓What’s the pre-work all about?

We want you to show up prepared — not overwhelmed. Both versions include a pre-event Zoom session and/or guidance via email with prompts, frameworks, and our signature VOICE planning worksheet. This helps you hit the ground running on event day.

❓Where is your in-person studio located?

We’re located on the second floor of a beautiful studio space in the Hanover Airpark, Ashland, Virginia. Please note: the studio is only accessible by staircase (no elevator). If accessibility is a concern, reach out and we’ll talk options.

❓Is this a tax write-off?

Most likely yes — this qualifies as marketing, content creation, or professional development. That said, always check with your tax pro to make it official. We’re content experts, not accountants.

❓Can I attend more than once?

Heck yes. We actually encourage it. Each session will feature new themes, content strategies, and filming prompts. Whether you join quarterly or monthly, you’ll always leave with fresh content and new levels of skill and confidence.

❓Is this only for women?

Not at all. B-Roll Studio is for all humans who want to be seen, supported, and visible in their business. Many attendees are women-led brands — but everyone is welcome.

❓Is this a group workshop or private coaching?

It’s the best of both. You’ll get personalized coaching and filming time plus the energy of a creative crew around you. In-person or virtual, you’re supported and celebrated.

❓What if I want more editing or strategy help afterward?

We offer done-for-you editing upgrades, custom reels, and strategy sessions for those who want extra support post-event. You’ll get a menu of options afterward to keep the momentum going.
